Special Group Lessons

Scent work: - 2 Classes $75

Scent work is fast becoming one of the most popular new sports for dogs since any dog of any breed or age can do it.  There are many fantastic benefits to participating in scent work, even if you never plan to set foot in a trial environment.  It requires intense physical and mental stimulation from the dog, making it a great way to burn off excess energy and reduce behavioral problems at home.  It can increase your dog's confidence by teaching them to problem solve and strengthens the bond between you and your dog by building trust.  Scent work lessons will start by building your dog’s excitement about the game by having him search for a favorite reward hidden in one of several objects.  Scent work can be done inside or outside, there is no place a dog's nose can't go!

Melissa, our expert scent work trainer, who has put titles in C-WAGS Scent work and AKC Scent work on her own Siberian Husky, can show you the techniques on how to train your dog for this exciting new activity.

Group Lessons

Group lessons are a great way to improve on your dog's focus and listening skills around distractions in a controlled environment.  We incorporate basic to advanced commands into real life situations. The classes are small with only 6-7 students per class so you will receive more one on one attention. Our goal is to help you understand your dog and learn more on how to train him while having fun.

We offer basic,  intermediate and graduate obedience classes, plus specialized seminars.

In-home training for dogs and cats

In-home training is available for those dogs who work better without the distraction of other dogs.  Whether it is just one issue you want to work on, such as heeling, or a multitude of challenges, meeting one on one with your instructor will give you the opportunity to concentrate on the specific goals for you and your dog. In-home is also offered for cats who do much better staying in their own environment.

Your in-home private lesson may include some or all of the items listed below.  Each lesson will vary accordingly and be modified toward the needs of you and your dog or cat.

  • We will talk about your goals and your dog’s challenges

  • Discuss how to modify behavior issues

  • Leadership

  • Basic obedience (i.e. sit, down, heel, recall, etc.)

  • Advanced training (i.e. fine tuning basic skills, challenging dogs with advanced exercises, modifying fear aggression, etc.)

Each individual session is approximately 1-1.5 hours long and tailored to you and your pet's specific needs. The initial session includes an assessment of your companion animal in order to create a specific plan for you and your trainer.  Days and times may vary depending on your instructor.

We are happy to offer discounts for multiple lessons:
1 session:   $125
2 sessions: $245
3 sessions: $360
After completing 3 sessions, the cost is $115 per session.
